I noticed I have two additional 4GB modules (an 8GB package) added to my existing 16GB RAM setup. I made sure they’re placed on separate channels. The PC still shows 32GB of RAM, but why does it display 32GB instead of the actual amount? Both modules operate at the same speed.

You're reviewing the Task Manager, then navigating to Open Settings, selecting System, going to About, and checking the Device Specifications to view the installed RAM.

It indicates you're still using the same 32 GB of RAM.

The information is confirmed across both the task manager and system specs. I remain confident my system should not exceed 24 GB of memory.

It also indicates a 32GB storage, even though you believe your PC contains two 8GB and two 4GB drives.

Verify the BIOS settings. Confirm the RAM specifications match the label. Ensure all modules are correctly installed. Mixing similar sizes can cause issues. Variations in dimensions may further disrupt performance.

Sure, I agree—it might be trying to interfere with the system.
