I leave my machine running all night. When I open it, the screen is empty while the power indicator stays steady—no blinking means it’s not asleep. Even after turning it on and adjusting settings, the display remains blank despite manual activation. I’ve sent many keystrokes and mouse clicks to wake it, but nothing responds. The blue light stays on without flashing. The only option left is to force a hard restart. I confirmed the power settings are set to high performance and verified sleep and display shutdown options were disabled. My hardware (including BIOS) is up to date, with an MSI Z87 G43 Gaming board, Intel Core i5 4670 Sapphire, TriX R9 290 OC, and 8GB RAM.

I encountered an issue once. When the system powers down or hibernates after a long period, it doesn’t display anything on the screen. The GPU malfunctioned. In that situation, my old machine ran a GeForce 6600 and I swapped it for a 630.

I upgraded my GPU, which is an R9 290 model. It hasn’t worked properly for the last few days. I’m not sure if it’s the GPU itself, but when the screen goes black, I checked the num lock buttons and they don’t respond. It seems my system might be freezing at this point.
