I purchased a 144 Hz monitor from Philips, it functioned properly for nine months. Recently, the screen started displaying red and black lines with streaks whenever I set it to 144 Hz at 50 Hz. It doesn’t seem to have any problems at 60 Hz, but it’s unstable at 144 Hz. I noticed this issue only appears when I change the frequency, unlike my laptop screen which works fine regardless of settings. I’ve tried different RAM, cables, power supplies, and even used another monitor, but nothing resolves the problem. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.
I also didn't drop or harm my monitor at all—absolutely certain.
If cable swapping failed, your options are limited. Consider upgrading to a new GPU or try the following steps. Adjust refresh rates gradually, starting from the lowest and increasing until the issue appears. You might end up stuck with the highest rate that still functions without further troubleshooting.
Igpu didn't function properly with the devices I used. I switched to a different laptop that worked well on the screen and also functioned correctly.
And I can keep using my laptop even without the monitor, which means the GPU is working properly.
everything functions properly on my laptop until I connect it to the monitor. then the monitor begins acting erratically when I set it to 144hz. it worked smoothly for nine months before that change occurred, and it never overclocked before. this monitor was originally 144hz.
Oh, you're on a laptop, didn't realize that. I assumed you had a PC, but try resetting your monitor (what are the laptop screen specifications?) if it randomly switches to spaghetti mode.
