I have a comparable configuration that performs excellently for gaming, though if you aim to stay ahead it might be wiser to switch to Ryzen. The main upgrade direction in a few years could involve moving back to an i7 8700K or a 9900, so keep that in mind.

I’d suggest adjusting a few details if you’re aiming for a 5 series CPU. A 3600 would be ideal, it performs much better. I’d consider a 1660 Super if you can, since the high bandwidth VRAM offers long-term benefits now. A B450 board would be a good choice, or I’d wait for the B550 boards to arrive. The cooler works, but there are better options available at similar prices.
