Last night I purchased a Ryzen 7 3700X with two 8GB RAM sticks at 3600MHz each. They suggested this setup, but my system was only at 2666MHz when I first booted. When I tried to raise it to 3600MHz, the PC would restart and return to 2666MHz. Please assist!
I used 3200mhz and it functioned, but my games kept crashing so I changed the BIOS settings.
Raise the voltage to 1.37 volts safely and observe any reaction.
Maintain the DRAM voltage settings. Increase SOC voltages and observe results. You should be fine up to 1.2v on the SOC. This issue is the usual reason for DRAM problems with Ryzen processors, especially in older models, but it remains the best approach for keeping stability.
