I own a collection of 2x 8GB GSkill Trident Z RGB 3200 CL16 units (part numbers ending in GTZR). They don’t OC at all, can’t even achieve tighter timings. They’re set up with a 5600X and a B450 Tomahawk MAX. It’s supposed to be a B-Die, but did I receive a faulty chip wrapped in premium casing?

Consider increasing the voltage and timing settings; perhaps it simply needs more power. Raising the voltage might lead to quicker memory wear.

I've tested 1.4V but the voltage is only 1.35V. It's not working. I've been constantly resetting the CMOS because it keeps failing to post.

I achieved the best outcomes by starting with XMP (or whatever is used for AMD) and adjusting only the clocks. A 3200 MHz clock speed is a bit low for Ryzen 5000 models. It’s better to choose a 3600 MHz setup from the outset, as this provides the greatest performance boost, though it starts to decline around 3800 MHz and beyond in most cases. Prices are quite similar overall. It really depends on your location.

EDIT: Also, since you have a Tomahawk board from MSI, look for the "Memory Try It" option in the BIOS settings. I believe it should be available. There are several pre-set profiles to choose from. When I used an MSI board, that actually delivered the optimal results. Manual adjustments often proved unreliable.

Temperature is also a factor. I usually don’t overclock my RAM since I don’t play games much (mostly productivity tasks), and I don’t want any issues because I only have one 8GB stick, which I’m expecting to get soon from AliExpress.

Also tried it, same result, still can't upload. Even with identical speed, timing is more restricted.
