Hello, last year I assembled my PC with an Intel i5-3600i running on its original cooler. At idle it stayed near 60°C and reached highs in the 90s. Recently I swapped it for a NZXT M22 AIO cooler. It’s only 120mm wide, but I wanted a bit more airflow. Despite having three 140mm intake fans, one 140mm exhaust fan, and the AIO running at full speed, I’m still holding around 60°C at idle and pushing up to 95°C during Cinebench R23. Even when I shut down half of my cores and crank the CPU to 2200MHz, it stays in the high 50s Celsius. Is this typical? (I haven’t overclocked it yet.) Can I lower the voltage a bit to help? Would using more thermal paste make a difference? Should I mount the radiator as an intake? My case is a dark base 700 with the front panel removed for better airflow, and I’m running it at full speed on my 3070.

You're using a 90mm rad with the M22, but the pump is occupying the radiator area. I'd check the included box cooler to see if it makes a difference.

I began with the stock cooler provided, but it kept operating at temperatures in the high 60s to low 90s Celsius. The AIO reduced the heat by about 5°C, though it remained warmer than anticipated.
