I received a PS4 controller from a friend for my PS3. It seems to charge normally, but when I press the PS button, it doesn’t turn on. The orange LED on the back indicates charging, yet it won’t activate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Reset the device; the button appears in the second image (bottom of the controller), upper right corner beside L2

I own it but nothing occurs and it doesn't power on. It's completely charged.

You mentioned receiving it from a friend, assuming you worked while he had it. It seems the item was likely dropped, and it has been opened several times since then.

He confirmed it functioned and I relied on him, paying $20 for it. I checked by opening it to remove any debris, but it wasn’t just old buildup—it was something else entirely.

Did you link it with a PS4 using USB? It usually resolves my problems.

I connected it to my PC and PS3 but got nothing. I don’t own a PS4. The issue is mentioned in the first message.

Apply the product from within using an electronic contact cleaner spray.

I cleaned it using q-tips and isopropyl alcohol.
