Hi, I just got a used PC and the only problem is that the BIOS keeps resetting, which changes my RAM to 2133 GHz instead of the correct 3600. I was thinking about installing Windows 11, but the BIOS issues make it hard. I tried removing the CMOS and replacing it, but the CMOS is stuck in a strange black plastic and really tough to access because of the compact motherboard design. The board I have is an AB350N, and I’m not sure what to do next.

It seems your CMOS battery is probably not working. Begin by swapping it out and check if the problem resolves.

I want to check this video about replacing a CMOS battery on my motherboard. The CMOS battery is inside a black plastic container, and I’m not sure how to do it.

Purchase a battery that matches the connection described, likely soldered onto those wires.

You might be able to skip using the battery right now, but you should keep the computer connected to the main power supply. This will maintain the BIOS settings while the PC is off, as long as mains electricity remains active. Could be a solution.
