It's understandable you're facing these issues. Your laptop's temperatures are consistently high, especially when running Valve titles. The fact that the GPU temp stays above 50°C and the system crashes suggests a hardware concern. I recommend checking the cooling setup and ensuring proper ventilation. If the problem persists, consider consulting a professional for further diagnosis.

Do you sense intense heat radiating? Is the cooling pad obstructed? Can it be restored to function? Is the high-speed fan operating correctly?

I haven’t attempted reapplying adhesive, though it’s worth thinking about. I cleaned the fan about a week back, which seems acceptable. The heatsink and its fan appear to be in good condition.

When sharing temperatures here, use Celsius as most people in tech refer to component temps. This is similar to how fuel economy is expressed—people generally expect it in °C, not Fahrenheit. For context, those numbers translate to around 80°C, 57°C, and 95°C. Considering the laptop's age, a refurbishment should likely lower the temperatures by about 5-10°C.
