your processor remains efficient despite high temperatures.
I assembled my initial PC and used OCCT to verify its stability and thermal performance. The CPU and GPU didn't reduce their clock speeds or power consumption even when temperatures reached 90 to 100 degrees. Is this normal or could there be a problem? I'm using an ASUS Prime B760 motherboard, and I've heard there are some power management concerns with Intel 14th generation CPUs.
System specifications are available. Performance limits are typically reached around 100°C, so 90°C is acceptable.
CPU is an Intel i7 14700K built on an Asus Prime B760M motherboard. It runs with a Wi-Fi enabled platform. RAM is a GSkill Flare X5 32GB, 16*2 configuration at 6000MHZ with DDR5 support. The system uses a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD from Kingston, connected via a 4.0 PCIe interface. The case is a gamdias Athena P1 AIO with a 360mm RGB light. The GPU is a Gigabyte RTX 4070 super graphics card. Power is supplied by an Asus Rog Thor 850P PSU.
90c feels comfortable but hasn't reached the throttle limit yet. With a 360 AIO, you should stay well below that temperature. Make sure it's installed properly—just to confirm: Are you measuring in Celsius, not Fahrenheit?
