Not much, actually. I’m not entirely clear on why this matters. Do you enjoy handling multiple tasks at the same time while playing CS?
Observing full CPU utilization is acceptable, particularly with a 4-core, 4-thread processor. The GPU may be limiting performance slightly. You'll also require another motherboard compatible with the i7-3820. This chip uses the LGA 2011 socket (X79 chipset), whereas your existing board has a LGA 1155 socket. Make sure you don't confuse these two types of sockets—each is distinct.
The i7 3820 uses a different socket, so it won't fit. Your CPU isn’t powerful enough for today’s games. I also don’t recommend upgrading to an i7 3770 since those still cost about 80-100€ and aren’t worth it. My advice is to begin saving for a new Ryzen setup with fresh RAM, CPU, and motherboard. Also, what kind of PSU are you using?
Opposite situation: your CPU is slowing down your GPU.
Another issue: incompatible socket – won’t fit. You need i7 2600 or 3770, but I don’t recommend those.
It’s time to save for a fresh build; otherwise you’ll likely need a new PSU, motherboard, and CPU, which might mean replacing the whole system.
Note: You can still use 2600 or 3770, though they won’t work with your current setup. Your PCIe 2.0 and 1155 slots lack overclocking support, making it hard to justify upgrading this unit.
It feels like you’d end up with a 3470 that’s difficult to sell.
