Hello, I rely on the NVIDIA app for stable GPU performance, but after adding MSI Afterburner, I’ve seen a noticeable FPS improvement during gameplay. My GPU now consistently reaches 100%, which was impressive before. However, my CPU usage stays high, often between 88% and 100%. This combination of maxed-out GPU and CPU is something I’m concerned about. Before using Afterburner, my hardware never reached those levels—my GPU was around 70-80% and CPU 40-50%. After removing MSI, I ran the NVIDIA app again and need to test MSFS directly to see how it performs.
All components are functioning perfectly with full utilization on both CPU and GPU, provided temperatures remain stable. Aiming for maximum GPU involvement delivers optimal performance—this is what GPUs are designed for. Moderate CPU load (80-100%) also works well as long as the system stays cool. What hardware do you currently have?
I've never experienced such performance levels before. The system really hits its limits now, especially in MSFS, whereas it wasn't this intense before. I'm curious about the timing of this change. The CPU is now reaching full capacity as well.
Clock speeds range from 4.8 to 5.1, though I kept it at 4.8 after the BIOS update two months ago without issues. At the time, temperatures were around 43°C, but performance remained stable. In MSFS 2020, CPU and GPU aren't maxed out—just a 2024 release? That's reassuring.
At 1440p resolution, the Power module operates between 64w and 69w under maximum load. The CPU temperature stays between 43°C and 47°C, even when the AIO spins at full speed (1300 RPM) on the fans.
