Restrict power usage on the card in Afterburner just in case. Also, you'll likely not reach optimal performance with only 8GB of RAM. It should have dual-channel support.

Absolutely. Please add another 8GB of RAM if you're running low on the current one. It's a top priority.

I own a 24 GB drive. I was only checking it out because it didn’t start after installing the graphics card. Now it’s working properly, especially with the case fans removed.
