It's a fun challenge to test how well I can boost my pi-hole performance. Instead of a simple explanation, I turned it into a friendly contest to see what works best for me. Just remember, we're aiming for practical results—real users, not just theory!
This connection uses a stable link with steady traffic. Therefore, the blocked percentage would likely be lower. Keep in mind that a high block rate isn't ideal—it might suggest many devices sending signals from home. This could indicate spyware, adware, malware, or simply smart gadgets. At home, the 20% usually reflects only a few ads from browsing or some smart devices. As mentioned earlier, my internet activity remains consistent at 100% down to 100% up, even before considering home users. Additionally, I’m redirecting to another DNS that blocks harmful sources like CloudFront.
I agree, I know why mine is so high, it is currently sitting at 74%....it is one thing being blocked 5670 times.... Gonna try and excise it now....but tell you what, if i wasn't for pi-hole...I might never have known it was there. It is ssl.gstatic.com can be malicious, but also used by google...so malicious then.
