I was engaging in some games such as Doom Eternal and similar, then suddenly a loud drilling sound appeared. Smoke followed, and someone was instructed to turn off the power supply. Upon opening the PC case and touching the PSU, it felt warm, and the top glass was slightly wet and oily. Edited October 9, 2023 by Redbeebox1279

Requesting detailed information about the PSU model and making sure it remains powered off. It appears the unit has failed, so I'm advising a wait period before attempting any action.

Please install a new power supply unit. Wait until it’s fully installed before turning on the PC. That’s all we can advise further.

Here are some images along with the full specifications of the PC. The PSU model and its age are included. Since the PSU likely failed, you’ll need to purchase a replacement. A 40-60$ setup will give you a solid 750/850W 80+ Gold unit, similar to the RMS X or comparable models. If you opt for used units, 90-110$ will cover a new 80+ Gold unit. Be sure to invest more for a 10-year warranty—anything below that is essentially worthless, and buying used could save you money.

Oh wow, the smoke seems to be playing tricks. But let's set aside the jokes—your PSU might actually be failing.
