I've experienced my PC suddenly shutting down recently. When it does, all screens turn black and the fans speed up significantly. Initially, I assumed it was related to the cooling system, so I swapped the cooler and it worked temporarily. Now it's happening again, this time it looks like the RAM might be the issue. I discovered by testing that one of the DIMMs on the motherboard is damaged, leaving only one stick installed. It’s possible this could cause a random failure that damages the system. Most crashes occur during gaming sessions, though they haven’t been tied to specific titles lately. The specs are: 12 Gen i9-12900K, 3.20GHz, NZXT 360mm AIO CPU, 32GB DDR5 RAM, Windows 11, RTX 4090, 1200W PSU, 80+ Platinum 1, with four fans (two front, two top).

Inspect the CPU socket pins for any bends. Replace the CPU if needed. The memory controller is located on the CPU.
