Your PC frequently stops and restarts with blue error screens.
I recently upgraded my PC with a new motherboard, case, power supply, and graphics card. Now I’m experiencing random crashes while playing games, leaving a 'nuked' screen on my second monitor. After freezing for a few seconds it restarts itself. There’s no error message displayed. Programs also shut down and restart unpredictably. I’ve noticed DirectX 11 errors too, though they might not be related. My current specs are: MSI B550 Tomahawk, AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 at 3200MHz, Gigabyte Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti, Corsair RM850x (850W), one Samsung M.2 PCIe SSD, two more Samsung SSDs, and an HDD. I changed my fans to be quieter, which should reduce performance but not eliminate the issues. I also set my RAM to XMP level 1, which helped a bit. In a previous attempt, fixing it required a specific solution, and after that, the crashes became less frequent. I’m planning to run DDU again and hope for improvement.
Did you perform a DDU update during the GPU upgrade? Also, after installing so many components, I suggest reinstalling Windows to avoid these problems. If temperatures rise significantly, the system may shut down or restart automatically. That’s usually the case when it gets very hot.
It didn't resolve the issue, it only reduced its frequency. I plan to try DDU once more and wish the outcome well.
You're experiencing DirectX 11 issues in FxE5, with missing DLLs and a blue screen afterward.
I've executed DDU, reinstalled Windows, and reset the PC. Still no success. It randomly displays a blue screen even with minimal stress and then shuts down. I plan to re-seat the RAM and reset the BIOS.
I made the BIOS update, reordered the RAM and programs, and the blue screens are now less frequent. They only appear when I enable XMP, suggesting the BIOS settings might be incorrect. My RAM is rated at 3200MHz but the CPU supports it as well; however, XMP pushes it to 3000MHz. It’s unclear if that’s the problem, but there’s additional data involved. Is there a way to adjust the RAM speed in BIOS to match the CPU without causing crashes?
