Over the last couple of years, my computer has been quite sluggish. I upgraded from a 1660 Ti to a 1080 Ti and increased RAM from 8GB to 16GB, but it didn’t make much difference. My MC frames range from 50 to 200fps, and SWJS is around 30-50 fps, though there are frequent stutters that make the game difficult to play at times. I experience stutters in every game I play, and I can’t even run games on Google. Some titles perform better than others. CSGO works fine. I’m curious if this issue is related to my CPU. My question is: why does my PC perform so poorly? What upgrades would help, or should I just reset it?

Thanks for the guidance, I'll verify the PC upon returning and use HWInfo. I believe my RAM is set at 2133Hz, so I'll attempt to enable XMP when I arrive home.
I have limited free space and suspect SWJS might be installed on the SSD. I plan to run a defrag. Once back, I'll inspect the PSU and review the details you mentioned.

My RAM can reach up to 2667 MHz due to my processor, but it's now using XMP settings. While running SWJS, my GPU temperature was 83.9°C, with a hotspot at 98°C (all in Celsius). The maximum listed is 84°C, which isn't ideal. CPU temperature was 61°C, and the max reported is 63°C. The GPU ran at 1800MHz. After defragging drives, performance improved slightly in both games. I have around 122 GB free on my HDD, but only 4 GB on my SSD.
What advice would you give me?

Alright, thank you so much! I will try freeing up some space. And i might upgrade the parts once i get some money for it. Also, why is my PSU a fire hazard with the 1080 Ti? I don't know much about computers
