I'm setting up my initial PC and gathering components. I currently have a school desktop with Windows 10, and I'm wondering if installing my SSD running Windows 10 onto a new motherboard would keep it functioning properly.
BitLocker not active. The setup used a RAID controller (common with Dell), so it's inactive. For legacy installs with UEFI enabled on the new board, it should function.
I changed from Intel to AMD and kept the same Windows setup, which worked perfectly. After upgrading to Windows 11 following the hardware change, the system likely adjusted to the new components during the update.
