Your MSI afterburner is experiencing issues.
I recently purchased a PowerColour RX6650XT for my PC. When I attempted to overclock it using MSI Afterburner, the interface became confusing and I couldn't successfully increase the GPU speed. The original settings showed '+0', which displayed the clock speed as 1360, but dragging it didn't trigger any changes. How can I actually enable overclocking now?
It displays the NVIDIA GPU details clearly. On AMD, it shows the current core and memory speeds but doesn’t indicate the boost levels. That’s typical.
I understand, but figuring out the right steps to overclock is tricky. You might try the AMD Adrenalin app for your GPU or use MSI After Burner if needed.
I’m confident you can still access the GPU in After Burner. Running a stress test with a game will help verify stability, and it’s wise to boost the memory clock by roughly double the core clock increase. If After Burner fails as expected, consider using adrenaline.
Based on my observations, a reading of 0mv typically indicates incompatibility and requires an update. Even if afterburner receives updates, I’m unsure. Just to note, it’s possible you can still use it, though the sliders seem locked. It might just be a setting issue rather than a full lockout.
