Your motherboard unexpectedly activated a white LED.
I noticed a new white LED on your motherboard for the first time. Despite keeping all LEDs off at night, it was unexpected. Searching online didn’t point to a graphics card problem, even though your graphics card and display function normally. I also checked if installing chipset drivers might help, but my virtual display driver has worked without issues before.
ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, I traced the path around the target.
The white LED indicates a potential GPU problem, but it might not always be a real issue. The BIOS could fail to recognize the card during boot, causing headless operation even though Windows sees it. It’s only a concern if you need access to the BIOS settings and can’t reach them. Updating the BIOS should resolve the matter. Personally, I don’t mind if everything functions normally.
Here are your PC specifications. The issue might relate to the boot process, possibly due to GPU firmware updates or a motherboard BIOS change.
