Hello everyone! I'm facing an issue with my PC. After updating the BIOS to a much older version, the motherboard's Q-code panel shows "0F" and it doesn't load the microcode. The board is an ASUS HERO XI with Wi-Fi, and I can't even access BIOS anymore. I attempted a Flashback using a USB drive, but the flashing button stopped working after just a few seconds of blinking. I followed the instructions in the video you linked, but it didn't resolve the problem. Any tips or alternatives would be greatly appreciated!

Retrieve the HDD, place the motherboard disk inside the DVD reader. Send the data from that disk. Navigate to BIOS recovery mode. This will install the original firmware onto the board. Likely the problem stems from this setup. You might wonder why you need BIOS 602.

Hopefully it posts from that motherboard disk. Cause Bios and Flash back are your only other options. If the flash was successful, you may have removed the cpu from compatibility list, (don't quote me there, I'd have to look) I just looked. Bios revision 1005 is where the 9900K is supported. The motherboard disk may not be that new of a revision...….. Here is a useful link for you. do not know if this works, haven't had to try it (knock on wood) https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.ph...-roll-back

We caught you in the act! That's the drive. (Bios 1005 might not be available for 9900K support.) See what I said above.

If your PC lacks a DVD tray, you don’t necessarily need an external one—just consider other storage options like USB drives or cloud services.

The internal SATA DVD reader is affordable. Your case doesn’t have a slot for one? Most people no longer use DVD readers or writers.

That sounds like a possible approach. Using your DVD player as a source and transferring the files to a USB drive could work if the format supports it.

This won't function. You'll need to rely on BIOS or flash back to version 1005. It seems the disk doesn't support a recent BIOS update.
