I don’t understand USB controllers well, and the term isn’t mentioned anywhere. Could you clarify what you mean by “USB controller(s)”? Also, which ports are compatible with each one? For your MSI MPG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON AC model, check the specifications for supported ports and connectors.

The manual states that all USB ports come from the chipset, without needing individual USB controllers.
