I don't know what is the problem, i think it's hardware related but the thing is i can't find a perfect distro, or at least a one that has no problems on my system. My laptops is a Dell Inspiron 3451: Intel Pentium N3540 4GB DDR3 1333mhz 500GB HDD 5400rpm Intel HD Graphics Baytrail gen. I have tried the following distros | having the following problem: Linux Mint 18.1 Serena | Pheripherials not working after suspension, for example wireless mouse, use flash drives, also cstate bug that is known on baytrail cpus (but i found a non official fix) Ubuntu 16.10 | Suspension, shut down, reboot not working, cstate bug too Linux Mint 17 | Same as Mint 18.1 Ubuntu 12.04.5 | It worked almost perfectly, suspension works, pheripherials work after suspension, no cstate bug, but can't enable natural scrolling on touchpad, and can't adjust brightness (I tried everything) Ubuntu Mate 16.04.2 LTS | cstate bug, pheripherials not working after suspension I know cstate bug happens specially on Kernel 3.16+ on baytrail cpus, that's the reason for not happening on 12.04.5 lts, but at least there's a fix for that With cstate bug i mean the freezing problem. Do you think there is a special distro for me? I really wanna work on Linux. I hope to find something, thanks in advance bros
Thanks! I also tried antergos, which is based on Arch, but it had its own issues. It ran very slowly and the peripherals stopped working after suspending it. I plan to address those small problems I saw in Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS, just like JayKay3000 suggested. Appreciate the help!
