I acquired a Lenovo IdeaPad flex from 2020, but it won’t switch back into laptop mode. It comes with a Ryzen 7 4700U with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. (This info might be useful) The device now can’t revert to a standard Windows laptop. A bit of background: After a few months, I started dual booting to run both Windows 11 and Linux distros like Fedora and Ubuntu. Eventually, it got stuck in tablet mode. I used it mainly for light programming and schoolwork on Windows. When I realized the issue, I tried cleaning partitions, adjusting settings, resting it, and even resetting it to factory defaults. I’ve reached out to Reddit and Lenovo without success over the past couple of years. Any suggestions you have?

Consider testing by installing or removing the relevant drivers. There might be interference from a nearby magnetic object or a faulty sensor that could be replaced. The issue seems related to a hall effect or magnet sensor, though I’m not certain about your specific device.
