Your laptop is getting very hot, reaching temperatures similar to the surface of the sun.
Hello, I’ve noticed the laptop getting warmer lately. After changing the thermal paste and reassembling it, the overheating has increased. I checked the heatpipe placement, confirmed there were no air gaps in the paste, and verified all connectors were securely attached. When the laptop starts up, it runs smoothly without issues. However, once it begins using, especially during tasks like staying in the lock screen or running a game, it quickly gets hot. It stays elevated for several minutes before cooling down after shutdown. I’m concerned about the temperature rise and worry it might affect the device long-term. I use this Lenovo Ideapad Flex 15IML for streaming and watching videos, and the heat is becoming increasingly uncomfortable. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.
I felt the bottom of the laptop and the heatpipe during startup for a short time, and it remained cool overall.
It seems you're wondering if the Task Manager isn't displaying high CPU usage.
Yes, minimal CPU and GPU activity (they're cooled via a single heatpipe)
