Your laptop is behaving oddly during login and often becomes unresponsive.
Attached is a video demonstrating the issue. It also causes my computer to freeze unexpectedly, making it hard to restart. Once frozen, the RGB on the keyboard stops working, which isn’t related to the GPU. The freezing happens randomly, whether I’m idle or using heavy applications. System specs: Fx-8350 stock speed, sabertooth 990fx, RX 970, 980 GTX, 16 GB RAM, SSD (with Windows), plus a few HDDs and a 750W power supply (VID_20220420_134539_Trim.mp4).
The Windows Reliability Monitor reports temperatures within normal ranges, latest BIOS and drivers are installed, and a fresh Windows installation is available.
I suspect the 8-pin connector on my PSU might have melted inside the 8-pin plug on the motherboard, which could be stopping the CPU from getting power. As a result, my PC isn’t booting up, so I might need to replace the motherboard and PSU.
It keeps working still. I’m not sure, but once the desktop loads it shows a message reminding me to keep the USB connected. The scan reported fixing damaged files, and after restarting it seemed normal, though I had to turn it off again and then the login process in the first video appeared.
Today I tried to turn on my computer, but it didn’t work and there’s nothing listed in the reliability monitor.
