Hello everyone. I have been battling with this issue for a few weeks now. It all started when for some reason when playing CS my headphones would not work. I had to switch to my speakers for the game and keep Discord on the headset in order to be able to use the headset microphone. I thought the headset microphone had issues because this issue started appearing outside of CS. Just by using Discord, messenger and WhatsApp on my computer. I bought a new microphone (a FIFINE one). I stopped having these issues for a few days after I started using the new microphone. Afterwards, they reappeared. Now when I boot up my computer I hear and speak on Discord for half a second after joining a call and then everything stops working(sometimes sound resumes outside of Discord but the microphone does not work). Both microphone and headset. If I try to record using Audacity I get an error code -9985. I tried switching to Steam voice chat just in case but still does not work. If I am not in a discord call I can record using the microphone but I still can not hear anything through the headset. The headset is the Steelseries Arctic Pros. A small note about the headset: I started having surround sound issues when CS2 dropped then I disabled the surround sound completely from the SteelSeries app. This is all the information I have. I do not know exactly what the issue is so I can reproduce it every time this is why I am giving all this info. I can not pinpoint the issue. I think it might be the headphones. If someone had any idea I would appreciate some help. I am attaching below a System Information report from Specify in raw JSON. The result will also be here for 24 hours: https://spec-ify.com/profile/9b627fa3 If you need any other reports like a windows system report or cpuz I can provide them. Thank you. specify_specs.json

I've been using Voicemeter for several years now. It addressed all my audio problems. I'm not sure if it will work for yours. Based on what I've experienced, I had issues with Davinci Resolve Video Editor using Bluetooth headphones—it all went away. Just set In and Out in Windows Sound Settings to Voicemeter, and the rest is handled by the software. It's free and open-source. I think it's more of a workaround than a full solution...

I've been working with Davinci Resolve for a while now. This could be the solution. Thanks!

Update for all users: VoiceMeter Banana resolved my problem, but I chose SteelSeries Sonar (included in the Steelseries gg app). It works similarly with VoiceMeter, just more understandable for regular gamers. Hope it helps.
