It’s strange because this only occurs when one part of the screen moves. I fixed a previous problem by updating my drivers, but after that flickering started it returned. I suspected a driver issue, so I updated my drivers and it improved for a while, though it reappeared later while watching YouTube. I completely reinstalled my GPU drivers using DDU, but that didn’t help. I switched to a different DP port, which also failed. Now I’m trying a GPU reseat, which made things worse. It seems like the problem isn’t affecting performance much and doesn’t happen when I’m playing games or using YouTube often. I don’t use my PC for YouTube much, so it’s not a big concern. My worry is that my GPU might fail soon and I won’t be able to replace it because I don’t have the funds. I’ll keep trying other cables and fixes, but my chances are low.

Attempting another Windows installation? Please confirm. Ensure dual monitors are active for data safety. Check for monitor flickering when you power on the PC—especially during BIOS access (press F2) or within the BIOS settings—and note any visible issues. This may indicate a driver problem rather than a configuration error.

I spent much time in my bios today working on it, but I didn’t notice any flickering. I plan to test it when I’m back home. I’ll also try booting an OS from a USB stick briefly to check for issues. The monitor doesn’t flicker during startup. Edit: I should note that the monitor only flickers intermittently—it has sections that do, which makes me think the GPU might be the cause.

I tested the system by running bios for an hour without any glitches, used tailsOS via USB, and recreated the issue without problems. This suggests the problem might be related to software rather than hardware. Any suggestions on resolving it?
