My games have stopped functioning properly. For instance, Hoi4 fails to start and gets stuck during the "loading sprites" phase, which I believe handles graphics rendering. Sea of Thieves' visuals seem unappealing and it doesn't load correctly or allow progression. Fortnite starts fine but the environment appears distorted, with items failing to appear and buildings shifting randomly. When adjusting FPS values (30 to 60, then 60 to 120, 120 to 144 and back), structures and inventory load normally, yet thunder effects remain unaffected. My system doesn't display error codes except Minecraft, which crashes regardless of graphics settings. Minecraft's performance remains stable even when switching between high and low graphics. My GPU usage fluctuates noticeably during gameplay, with a consistent 300 MHz clock speed and occasional minor spikes. The VRAM clock stays steady at 2000 MHz without variation. Temperatures sit between 45-70°C on the GPU, and power consumption ranges from 24 to 34 watts. Electricity draw is around 24-34W. My PC, built myself about 2-3 years ago, has seen no unusual behavior recently. I recently replaced the CPU thermal paste in spring, but I don’t recall any other changes. I also discovered two thermal paste pellets near my GPU when checking the side panel. Yesterday I attempted a factory reset using a USB drive, but it had no effect. I tried DDU, but I’m unsure of its purpose beyond driver removal. I haven’t overclocked the system. Apologies for the poor English. My setup is an x64 machine running Windows 10 Home (activated). It features an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core processor, a stock Radeon RX 580 series GPU, 16 GB RAM, a B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard, Samsung SSD and M.2 SSD storage. I suspect virtualization might be enabled but don’t know its impact. BIOS version/date is unknown. This report is from American Megatrends International, LLC, 3.I0, dated 14.10.2023.

Consider checking and cleaning the thermal paste, or swap it out if needed. If that doesn't help, replacement might be the best option.

It might be because your game is optimized for high performance, allowing smoother play even when it's struggling.

It could depend on which part of the GPU is involved and factors like clocks. If there are no problems, it shouldn't fail in other games!
