I attempted to reinstall it, but the router has become quite unreliable after several years of use, frequently crashing each week. Tomorrow I’ll receive a fresh internet package, which might improve things.

Is this a brand new pre-assembled cable or merely inserting a new plug into an existing one prior to replacing the damaged section? If the latter, it likely indicates a faulty crimping process, as many inexpensive crimps require multiple adjustments to ensure even connection quality. I've encountered this situation multiple times with budget plugs, often needing several attempts to achieve proper fit.

I'm not entirely confident about whether every pin goes through the wires.

The problem is likely due to using inexpensive connectors. The crimping tool might scratch or deform them, leading to poorer contact in the socket.

I’ll switch to a new internet plan because they provide free routers with purchases and will also replace the cable, eliminating the hassle of connecting the connector.

Certainly! Could you clarify what you mean by "not just replace the cable"? I'm here to help with your request.
