Relax, everyone—it's not 10gbit, it's just 1gbit. In 600 seconds you're getting about 128mbyte per second, which is gigabit speed. That's still ten times faster than your order and a bit quicker than your NIC, though it could be even faster at higher speeds. Also, I’m annoyed you got more than you paid for (by huge margins) while I’m getting only 50% of what I pay for. Edit: By the way, who suggested a raid0 with seven drives? I hope you don’t lose any important data in that setup.
When you're already signed in to your Microsoft Store account, sometimes they automatically fetch items without prompting. Last week I owned a laptop with 33GB of games from the store, even though none of those games were actually installed. They download and save them for future use.
Did you install Windows, set up the RAID array, and then download Forza4 once more?
Is anyone in your home already running the game on a PC or maybe an Xbox One? Windows 10 can fetch files from a nearby source without any fuss, though it doesn’t usually notify you about it. It seems to support Windows Store apps and updates—just click the “About Faster Downloads” link for details.
Running at maximum speed for 600 seconds on gigabit... That's tough to achieve for the intranet.
My setup isn't ready yet—it's just a Windows software array. I didn't plan for Intel NVMe drives for VROC and had to adjust as I learned. If anyone needs 512GB NVMe units, I'd like to eventually get all Intel ones. They're $50 each; I have 7 from Toshiba, 2 from Samsung, and 1 from Liteon.
