Would you like to test another screen or TV to check if the issue persists?
It suggests the problem might be with the monitor rather than your system or ROG Ally.
It seems unlikely to resolve the issue without replacing the panel. Pressing the monitor edges might offer minimal help, but it probably won’t solve the problem. They seem to show up only when loading games, not during regular use or while watching movies.
you can be pretty sure the LCD panel alone will cost around 80-90% of a brand-new monitor. it’s rarely worth spending time fixing them. to figure out the problem, first test with a fresh cable, then swap in another monitor if the green lines persist after using a working one. this suggests the issue is more likely with the GPU memory rather than the cable or monitor itself.
If it's a panel-related concern, problems might stem from several points, not just the panel. If the second monitor consistently works without issues, it could indicate a monitor fault. Are these devices identical? Differences like one being 27 inches and another 32 inches suggest they aren't the same model. If you see related comments, the second monitor seems to function normally.
Different monitor sizes but identical model numbers except for the sizing references. Thanks to everyone for the assistance. Looking for a new monitor soon or keeping this one as a backup. It’ll be odd having a 32” extra while my 27” stays front and center.
Have you connected the faulty monitor to the outlet while keeping the working one plugged in, without altering the cables?
