I received a ready-made unit as a gift from my grandparents—it was perfect for what I needed. As I began using it, the computer would suddenly stop freezing for 10 to 30 seconds before restarting. I used it to try out new features, so I installed a fresh power supply, new RAM, and an old SSD I found in good shape. After making these changes, the freezing problems persisted, but they became more frequent with heavier use. Another change I noticed is that whenever Chrome opens, it randomly closes and then restarts itself.
