I’m dealing with an issue that seems to have emerged recently. System specifications; network speed Mbps: ASUS Republic of Gamers Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) AM4 ATX motherboard CPU: AMD 5900x Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 Memory: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX (I also have another set running at 3200MHz). GPU: MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5 There’s some background information—I purchased the 3090 recently and had a power supply before that, which worked fine. Even after switching to the new PSU, it performed well. However, over the past few months, during startup or when running tasks like playing videos, launching games, or even background processes, the power supply has suddenly failed. Sometimes it happens right after booting into Windows, during gameplay, while idle, or while streaming. This random failure is getting worse; it can cause the computer to fail to start Windows altogether because it shuts down before reaching the OS. Lastly, all my drivers are up to date, and I’ve updated the motherboard BIOS as posted, but I’m uncertain if that will resolve the problem. If anyone has advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Take the first set and verify it works alone. Then use the second set and confirm it functions correctly.
