I shared a similar issue here. I'm running Steam on Windows 10 with a Ryzen 5 1600. It's not working well. After launching, it feels responsive at first but becomes very slow once it opens the main app. I can't click anything and it doesn't respond. The web browser also behaves strangely—things don't load properly. Steam notifications stop working on startup. It seems to react slowly, about every 5-10 seconds. I haven't installed any games yet, and maybe there aren't any left. I've tried clearing the cache, reinstalling, and disabling certain settings, but nothing helps. It's really hard to find another way since I can't even navigate the app easily. This is the only program I'm struggling with right now. Any advice?

Checks if CPU or memory usage spikes during the Steam session. Reviews overall resource consumption within the Steam client. Looks for additional background processes as indicated by Task Manager or Resource Manager. Has you considered removing and reinstalling Steam before trying anything else?

Force Nighthawk 16GB with 2666MHz on an MSI B350M Mortar is normal. However, I’m downloading a lot of professional software (software development) and those files are numerous. I intend to remove Steam and reinstall it to another drive. This has happened before as well.

You're facing issues with Steam becoming unresponsive after a Windows 10 reset and multiple reinstalls. Despite trying LAN settings fixes and various troubleshooting steps, the performance remains very slow. It seems the problem might be related to system stability or outdated drivers. Consider checking for updates, running a clean installation, or consulting Steam support for further guidance.
