Recently my PC has been experiencing random crashes or BSODs, especially when using Photoshop or other applications. The issue started about a year and a half ago and continues for months. I sometimes see a BSOD once a day, with more happening in an hour. Problems are most frequent during intensive tasks like photo editing, but also when the system freezes or shuts down unexpectedly. After reinstalling Windows multiple times, the problem still persists—even when using idle mode or a web browser. My PC specs include a Windows 10 CPU with Ryzen 7 5800X, an Asrock B550 motherboard, and an MSI Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU. I've tried reinstalling the OS, formatting the SSD, updating drivers, deep cleaning the hardware, and even replacing the power supply. I'm still unsure whether the issue lies with the motherboard or the CPU, and I don't understand how to interpret the CPUID results. Maybe checking the CPU voltage could help identify the cause.

Sure, I upgraded the BIOS yesterday to rule out that issue. It's using version 2.71 now, but the problem still exists.

Currently not available, though chipset drivers might help. It seems a bit complex for me. Plus, I haven’t tried OC before.

It might be a sensor issue. CPU shouldn't exceed max around 1.4v. Consider installing hwinfo64 and cinebench r23, then run hwinfo64 and the multicore test. Look for max vcore or share a screenshot.

The results vary here. I'm executing both CPUID and hwinfo64 concurrently.

That sounds more typical. It appears it can reach up to 1.5v on stock. What temperatures are you observing after running cinebench for 10 minutes? You can select the 10-minute test. If the temps are within acceptable ranges, everything should be fine. You might lower the voltage by adjusting the CPU voltage in BIOS—use a negative curve optimizer value for all cores, like -25. If stability isn't achieved, try increasing it gradually until it works.

Last night everything worked smoothly until an hour passed and I plugged in my HDD for file storage. The system crashed with a BSOD. Right now I’m just removing one HDD and everything seems to function properly. My plan is to switch to using the other PC without the HDD next week; I’ll update this thread later.

So it seems the hard drive is the issue.
