I run an Intel i5 7400 as the CPU and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 as the GPU while playing Fortnite. My CPU usage spikes up to 100% while the GPU remains around 10%.

Windows has a minor issue impacting some users, where the idle process is mistakenly reported as using CPU. Try another program or check the 'Processes' section to monitor Fortnight and other applications.

Check the display options and frame rate. This older CPU doesn’t affect performance much.

everything is configured correctly so I achieve optimal results. At low settings I maintain 120 fps even with minor performance drops.

consider whether upgrading your CPU or GPU is better based on your needs. If you need both, prioritize the one that aligns with your workload—use the CPU for general tasks and the GPU for graphics-intensive applications.
