You're experiencing a drop in internet speed from 150 MBPS to 100 MBPS despite using the same router and firmware. This could be due to network congestion, ISP throttling, or hardware limitations. Have you checked your internet plan details or contacted the provider for further assistance? Let me know if you need more guidance. Thank you!
Verify the connection speed with an Ethernet cable. If it remains at 100Mbps, express your concern and trust they address the issue.
Testing on a wired connection is recommended. Wireless performance can be unreliable, so checking Ethernet results provides a more stable assessment.
Note: Consider a wired setup; wireless isn't reliable. This is just ISPs talking.
I connect via a wired link and the system warns you to reinstall Windows, but I’m not sure that will solve the problem. If there’s an issue with my desktop or Windows, why am I seeing 100 MBPS on a 5 GHz network? I used to get around 150 Mbps too.
WiFi interference is simple to set up for 5G placement. Dropping a soda can in a specific area, even far from the router, can impact speed. Even a person standing between devices can cause this effect. For wired connections,... I can't comment, no one here can explain it if it's due to congestion, random issues, or ISP problems.
Typically you don't receive the promised sum, it's that simple.
I had a similar issue. It turned out to be the Killer Network driver from the on board NIC. Within the software there is a section for setting the internet speed limits with a "go" button. I had ran it prior to upgrading my internet, and it had locked my speed at the original (60down/5up). After disabling that, i was getting the new speeds (150down/15 up)
