A speedtest provides information about your internet connection performance. It may reveal more nuanced issues than just a simple block. Do you have an online account linked to your ISP that you can access?

Previously on my PC, the connection was roughly 600 Mbps down, 100 Mbps up, with about 30ms latency, 20ms jitter. I’m able to access the ISP site, but it only shows updated visuals instead of real options.

Could you provide the modem or router model? That will help me access the details. Also, let me know your ISP if you'd like to proceed.

It's a Hitron Coda 5519 from Mediacom/xtream. They're not great, but they're the only options nearby with speeds over 2.5Mbps. I'm considering buying my own modem and router or switching to Starlink—it'll be tough dealing with a satellite in my apartment, but I guess it's worth it...

Do you rely on Moca? Probably not, since it’s likely already active on your modem or router, which is unusual for an ISP to do when you don’t use it. If Moca is installed, it must be separated—install a filter on the main line that brings in your apartment so the Moca signal stays inside. In that scenario, simply purchase an S33 and stop worrying. It’s the most widely used cable modem with a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port. To connect a PC at that speed, look for a router featuring a 2.5 Gbps WAN port and LAN capability.

The problem has been fixed. Cable Tech placed a MoCA filter near the junction box where the cable enters from the street, and my internet is now working properly!
