I noticed a big drop in your connection quality. From 5 ping to 40 ping during gaming suggests a worsening issue. It could be related to the router or modem, but checking for power cycles, updating firmware, or testing with another device might help. Consider whether the modem is still functional and if you should upgrade it for better performance.

Restart your modem. Link your PC through Ethernet rather than WiFi. Join game servers near your location. Beyond that, ping times remain unchanged. Unless you're matching the exact same server you used previously, you're not making a direct comparison. You might have just switched from a nearby server to one on the other side of the country.

You can view the server you're connected to by checking the game's settings or connection options, often listed as "Server" or "Connection" in the app menu. If unsure, look for a status bar or network info that displays the current server address.
