On my PC, while using the desktop, it occasionally restarts unexpectedly and can freeze, requiring a power button restart. After performing a full Windows reset to clear everything, the issue persists. I suspect a hardware problem now. I verified my RAM and found no faulty modules when removing them one by one. The graphics card also passed testing and is functioning properly. CPU temperatures were normal. Despite these checks, the problem continues. Additionally, it only runs the Windows Update tool in recovery mode.

After reinstalling Windows repeatedly, the issue persists but functions well in recovery mode—likely a driver-related problem. The official manufacturer website is the best starting point; if your machine is outdated, consider using Snappy Driver Origin.

As Mr. Krieger mentioned, it might be a driver problem or a PSU issue. I’ve had a similar experience, and my PSU was likely the cause. Start with the simpler troubleshooting step, then move to the next one. I think the PSU is probably the culprit.
