My laptop struggles during gaming, dropping from 144fps to just 40fps. This issue only appeared when using Netflix on TV and unplugging the HDMI. I've checked everything—updated drivers, factory reset, used NVIDIA Control Panel—but nothing changed. My system specs are: 1660 Ti graphics card, Intel i7-10750H at 2.60GHz, 16GB RAM (15.8GB usable), 64-bit OS. If any missing details, please let me know and I'll update the post.

I haven't used a laptop before, so I'm curious whether its performance relies on the integrated graphics unit.

I and my friend were working through the problem by turning off the other GPU to run NVIDIA, then tested with another monitor connected to the same GPU. We also tried using a different TV but it reported the game was running on the NVIDIA card. On the TV, we set it to the main display and played a game; performance improved slightly but dropped to 20fps during combat or shooting. I believe this is due to the GPU not utilizing it fully. When the laptop was on the TV, the task manager showed only 30% to 35% usage. I might post about the graphics card issue later, but I'm not sure enough to confirm yet. For now, I'll keep this thread open. We're testing this on Left 4 Dead 2 and CS:GO at maximum 1080p settings.

Consider reviewing your power plan and adjusting it for maximum or high performance.

It continues functioning identically under full performance. However, it seems to mimic power-saving behavior even when inactive. I’ll return later—I’ll see you then!
