Yesterday (11/22/15) a friend convinced me to switch from Windows 7 back to Windows 10... (Yeah, I did it before too, after resetting the previous version). While playing games like Battlefield, Call of Duty and CS:GO, the experience wasn’t as smooth. I decided to revert to Windows 7. This morning I tried using it again and encountered a BSOD message. I stayed calm and let it restart, but it kept happening. Eventually I realized Windows 10 was problematic and went into BIOS, checking my SSD. It still showed Windows 10, even though I wanted the old version. I restarted and kept facing the same issue. Now I’m reaching out for advice and hoping someone can help. Thanks a lot!

Did you really lose all your data during that transfer?

It depends on how much of the drive is damaged. There are methods to detect it, though I’m not familiar with them personally. My friend handled it for me when something similar occurred.

You don’t need a CD boot drive if you have an activation key. It can start from your local machine or another device that has the same activation.

It looks like you're planning to visit a nearby computer store.

Avoid letting them set it up for you; otherwise, you'll end up paying a huge amount. It's better to purchase a fresh drive and handle the installation yourself.

You can set up Windows from a USB drive, and 8GB should suffice.
