I've owned this prebuilt unit for about two and a half years. Just before selling it, I decided to make my own and it suddenly stopped working completely. When I try to power it on, nothing happens—even after swapping the power connector pins. I’m really puzzled about what’s going wrong. This issue started right after I replaced the GPU with the new one I received. Even when I tried using the old GPU, nothing changed. I think there are two possible reasons: first, during removal of the old GPU, it got stuck against the PCIe slot and was angled in a way that wasn’t ideal; second, installing the new GPU required two power connectors, so I had to pull another 8-pin connector from a bundle in the back of the PC. There was some tension in the cable when I connected it. The only repair shop nearby is closed on weekends, so I’ll have to wait until Monday to take it there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take apart your GPU, check for any damage on the board or PCie slot. If possible, use the second long PCie slot to test it. Reconnect the PSU cables correctly and reset the CMOS. Restart the system and let me know the new GPU model (and the previous one) so we can compare power requirements.

Did you possibly harm the power supply unit while pulling the cable for the new card?

For those helping, some images of the internal PC setup could be useful. Photos showing connections and any questionable items would be beneficial.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot tomorrow. The updated card is 3080 while the previous one was 2060; currently I have the older version installed.

It might just be that I lack sufficient information, which could explain why I don’t recognize the issue.
