I’m just starting with Linux and trying to set up a display resolution. I’ve encountered an issue that’s making me unsure if I have enough experience. I followed guidance from forums and Ubuntu wiki, but keep getting the same error. Could someone help identify what’s wrong? I also tried using cvt and gtf, but the problem persists.

The issue is actually noted in the error message: you provided a colour or font that isn't available on your system. Check the help documentation for the command (the well-known *nix man-pages!) to understand the proper syntax and boundaries of xrandr. Manually testing it should help!

Check your current settings by running xrandr without arguments to list the available options.
