Your code isn't functioning as expected.
Hello, I'm writing this because I'm unsure about resolving this issue. Troubleshooting problems isn't my strong suit. Whenever I attempt to play Any Cod, I can launch the game but can't access online services. My friends on Among Us won't let me join any games either. Other titles like Valorant and Rocket League work without issues. I'm certain it's not my hardware—my PC is quite powerful. My Wi-Fi seems fine too, as I have the best ping in all games. I had a full storage drive and cleared some files, but I'm still not sure what's causing this. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hello and thanks for reaching out. If it’s just certain games that aren’t working, it could mean you’re in a particular setting. The “I don’t understand” approach might be to reinstall the problematic games and see if that restores everything. It’s possible another program is changing some hidden settings in Windows 10, and a fresh install could reset those. I’m not very experienced, but you might find someone who can give a clearer explanation.
Yu might have asked Windows to restrict usage to public networks. It’s unclear how to handle that. You may need to reinstall the software.
Your overkill rig remains vulnerable. For instance, inserting RAM in the incorrect slots reduces its capacity from 32GB to 16GB. I frequently encounter this problem when disassembling another machine—its overkill CPU is limited by a motherboard unable to fully utilize it. The issue isn’t about the processor itself, but rather your motherboard’s limitations. None of your explanations are accurate; ping isn’t related, and it’s wise not to delete files in system folders like System32 or Program Files. Your device can connect to certain game servers but not others. I’m not familiar with the netcode behind the games you mention, though I understand part of CSGO’s code. It’s more likely the problem lies with your operating system, network interface, router, or ISP—especially if you’re outside the US. Try connecting via Ethernet, adjust your firewall or sharing settings to a private network, and verify that COD and Among Us are permitted through your firewall.
All RAM is fully installed, yet it operates at half performance.
Not just half the recommended speed, but likely the lowest JEDEC speed. For instance, installing 2666 MHz RAM in the incorrect orientation might prevent a stable XMP profile and could force a higher frequency like 2133 MHz. Usually, people will reposition their RAM and verify the installation in the manual to confirm the mistake. In my case, I used only two of the four DIMM slots.
