Your Chromebook seems to be having some issues getting powered on. Since the power button is broken, you might try a hard reset by holding the power button for about 10 seconds or using the built-in reset function if available. If that doesn't work, you could try removing the battery and reinserting it carefully. Let me know what happens!

Consider replacing the power button if it fails to function. The keyboard might also require replacement if needed.

I've already tried and they keep saying I'm quoted $90 for a 3-year-old Chromebook that was already broken when I received it. I need a repair before I can get a new keyboard.

The update is the new keyboard. It’s essential for operating if the power button fails.

Yes, you can use an external keyboard even if you have many of them.

Where exactly is the power switch located? It might not be what you expect—it could be damaged due to a surge, making the entire device unreliable.

It won't work, I can't afford it and I need to rely on it until the end of the semester, which is Christmas.

You're facing a serious issue. Trying to discuss it online won't help—it's a hardware problem that requires replacing the faulty part.

I understand your situation, and you’ve found a method to disable the power button yourself after using it for a long time.
