Hello there, I upgraded my system from 16 GB (8x2) to 32 GB (8x4) RAM but faced some problems. The default XMP profile won’t boot and causes a blue screen right away. When I try to run it without XMP, it only reaches 2133 MHz and remains unstable. Here are the details:

- CPU: AMD 3700X Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Black & White (DDR4-3200, 8GBx2, CL16-18-18-38, 1.35V)
- New RAM is Samsung, old ones are Hynix chips
- Timings match the original packages
- I kept the Hynix in its original channel settings before adding the new RAM

Have you considered applying optimized defaults in your UEFI? Have you experimented with just the latest RAM module? Different makers might use memory chips from various suppliers (such as Kingston, Samsung, SK Hynix), which can have slightly varied power needs because they originate from distinct manufacturing processes. That’s why it’s advisable to obtain a complete set of RAM in your intended amount, ensuring all components work together properly.

I haven't tested with just the new RAM module. As mentioned, I received one kit with a Hynix die and another with a Samsung die—they match in timing according to the packaging, and my UEFI confirms they're identical. Since I'm using the same memory per channel, I believe it should work fine, even though it's possible to use different kits otherwise. I'll try the default optimized settings soon!

I have restored your UEFI to default settings, but everything remains unchanged—it functions at 2133 MHz. Enabling XMP still causes a blue screen with an out-of-page error. I’ll consider swapping modules later, but I’m going to sleep now.

Two RAM modules of the same type are identical, and the motherboard should support the RAM you plan to purchase.

When I added the Samsung RAM to slots 2 and 4, performance dropped below 2133 MHz and occasional crashes occurred. Running only the Samsung RAM resolved the problem, achieving 3200 MHz stability. After testing, a memtest confirmed everything is working correctly. It seems this setup is quite sensitive to the configuration. As mentioned earlier, it appears to be essentially the same RAM, just manufactured by different companies.
